Life is not fair, get over it. We are all born different, with different backgrounds and strengths and weaknesses. Don’t get caught up in all of that. People have different strengths and weaknesses, people tend to show their strengths and hide their weaknesses. Keep this in mind. Choose your path, make a plan like we mentioned in the other blogs. Then get into the right mindset. This is the part we want to focus on.
Things come easier to some than others, that does not mean you don’t try. Many hide their pain or are very practiced at what they do. Don’t judge by what you see on the surface. Just focus on yourself, your plans. If they don’t work out, take a second look, make adjustments, hit it again. Persistence is a good thing. Don’t keep trying the same thing, make smart changes and try to find measurable outcomes. These will help you quantify your plans thus offering clarity to success.
You are on your own path but you can compete with others, not to beat them but to improve yourself. Learn from them, you may find out those outperforming you have habits you want to adopt. Getting up early or staying up late. Often, the successful have successful habits, talk to them, most people like to brag when things are good.
When you are out of your comfort zone, pushing yourself, feeling stress, pain, and all the bad stuff that comes with it, you need to keep in mind one thing. That is you are growing, developing, getting better. No pain, no gain, that is not just for the gym, it is in life. You don’t have to be extreme but you do need to push yourself. It is very satisfying after and leads to more pushing and hopefully becomes a habit to success.
Often when things seem to come easy to some, it is probable they have been down the path of pushing themselves out of their comfort zone and have developed better habits. You should watch and learn, not envy these people. Try to learn from watching, small changes often make a big difference.
It is what it is. Maybe things have went wrong or conditions are not ideal, successful people move on with what they have people who fail now have an excuse to fail. Take your pick which way you want to go. It is as simple as that, initial failure is painful, if you are giving up you accept that failure and the continued pain that goes with it.
Focus on the process not judgement. That is, say one of your primary machines you use breaks down. Don’t get mad, don’t try to blame someone, don’t judge, don’t feel sorry for yourself. Instead, focus on getting it fixed, solving the problem. Your still in the game, your alive, focus on the game, don’t get caught up outside the game with all the emotional stuff. This sounds hard but not really, its all in what you focus on. If you focus on the goal, getting back on track, that will not only keep your mind busy but will give you the satisfaction of being back on track.
Gratitude gives you strength, be thankful for life, for the opportunity you are working on and the people around you. This gives you inspiration when you realize you have what so many don’t have or have lost. So many others have lost their lives or just don’t have the opportunity you do. Its better to be in the game than watching from the sidelines. Even if it’s not going well, you are still learning, gaining experience. Those around you will be inspired by your gratitude.
They key is, be really clear on what you want and how to get it. From there, expect obstacles, be ready for them and don’t let them derail your focus. Then just follow the basics outlined here. We will be back with much, much more.
